PARKING TIPS
Driving and parking in Toledo can be a bit complicated as it is not a city designed for circulation, this because the effort to maintain the old town trying to keep it as it was hundreds of years ago can make it difficult to use vehicles within it.
For this reason, we are going to give you some tips so that parking in Toledo is not a problem for you. There are two main types of parking, which are free parking and parking in regulated areas.
FREE PARKING
Safont Park
A large parking area in front of the Toledo bus station. Close to the escalators that give access to the old part of the city. If you leave your car in the Safont parking lot there is a short 10 minute escalator ride to Zocodover.
Santa Teresa parking lot
Free high-capacity parking located in the popular Santa Teresa neighborhood next to a very popular and crowded area of bars, restaurants and stores common among the people of Toledo. From the Santa Teresa neighborhood to the old town of Toledo it is a 20 min. walk.
Roman Circus Parking Lot
Free parking located next to the Circo Romano de Toledo and the Venta de Aires restaurant. With large capacity it is a good choice. Near the parking lot there are also escalators that give direct access to the old town through a very pleasant 15-minute walk.
REGULATED ZONE PARKING
The old town of Toledo has regulated parking zones that are differentiated in three colors. The green one, exclusively for neighbors; the blue one, which is regulated to a maximum of 2 hours; and the orange one, which has no time limit.
You can pay for meter-regulated parking with the Telpark mobile app or in cash at the green posts located near the regulated zone.
Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 – from 17:00 to 20:00
Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00.
The city has several large-capacity privately managed parking lots in the old town. All of them are within the monumental zone and are a good option if you want the comfort of being able to go up to the city center by car. The price for a full day is around 20€.
